Primary School Days
are the days that were the best.
Those were the days ,
where holidays were plenty
I remember my friend,
Who once wrote all C's
for his test,
and ended up getting an F.
I remember those days,
where we would have test,
and all of us would be in panic,
but end up getting all A's
Primary school days,
Oh Primary school days,
Oh how I miss you so.
I wish it would happen again.

My favourite Poem
If you were only one inch tall, you'd ride a worm to school.
The teardrop of a crying ant would be your swimming pool.
A crumb of cake would be a feast
And last you seven days at least,
A flea would be a frightening beast
If you were one inch tall.
If you were only one inch tall, you'd walk beneath the door,
And it would take about a month to get down to the store.
A bit of fluff would be your bed,
You'd swing upon a spider's thread,
And wear a thimble on your head
If you were one inch tall.
You'd surf across the kitchen sink upon a stick of gum.
You couldn't hug your mama, you'd just have to hug her thumb.
You'd run from people's feet in fright,
To move a pen would take all night,
(This poem took fourteen years to write--
'Cause I'm just one inch tall).
Q1.How are the figurative language used in the poem? Give the specific word(s), explain what type of figurative language it is and why the poet chose to use this figurative language?
Personification, and metaphors are used in the poem.
Q2.Tell us why you like this poem in no less than 100 words.
I like this poem because it really exaggerates all the things you could do if you were 1 inch tall. The poet really explains in detail what we could do if we were 1 inch tall. The poem is also funny in a sense that the last sentence, (This poem took fourteen years to write--'Cause I'm just one inch tall), gives me the feeling that the author was really one inch tall. This adds humor to the poem, making it funny. this poem also tells us how small living organisms see how the word is like through their eyes.

4.Protagonist is rescued from initial unhappy situation( Hari comes back to bombay with his savings and their mother has recovered. Their father has also gave up on alchohol and Hari can open a watch mending shop when the factory has been built, as this would attract many people and Hari would earn money)

Amish lifestyle:avantages and disadvantages
Advantages of lifestyle
The first advantage is that there is no disturbance with the outside world, so life would be very peaceful and tranquil. Also there is no pollution as the Amish do not own any modern machinery, therefore the air there is very clean. Another advantage was the abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables available within walking distance, therefore, the Amish live a very healthy lifestyle. The third advantage is that most of the Amish are farmers and they do not us modern machinery to grow their crops, so they have to work in the fields. this would lead to them being more fit and thus they would not fall ill that easily.
